boombotix riders take the top podium spots
San Francisco, CA- Red Bull Ride and Style took place this weekend on a gorgeous blue bird day on the Embarcadero. The course was beautiful, creative, and colorful; The perfect canvas for the worlds top singlespeed riders to put down their fastest runs and their best freeride tricks. Team rider and winner of the Ride and Style race segment, Jason Clary, was quoted saying,
“I was up till 5am last night and pulled this out of my ass.”
It’s not insightful. It’s not inspiring. It’s just downright Jason Clary at his finest.
Jason was a winner of this event back in 2011, tasted bitter defeat in 2012, and now returns back to the top of the podium in 2013. He is newly wed and apparently the married life has put his riding back in focus without stealing the fun out of his eccentric persona. There is no doubt that the repeat championship is going to open up some new doors for Clary in the near future.
In the freeride category, Matt Reyes took 1st place with an unbelievably smooth run. He had big 3s, smooth airs mixed with the best flatland riding in the game. Boothby was working hard to put down a flare in competition, but he was not able to whip it around. Props for trying.
